St Patrick's Day carnival and parade

Belfast will mark St Patrick’s Day on Sunday 17 March with a vibrant carnival parade. The carnival leaves from Belfast City Hall at 12.30pm and will travel along Chichester Street and Victoria Street, into High Street and Donegall Street, before finishing at Writers Square.


Come along to see:

    eye-catching floats
    performers and magnificent costumes
    global musicians, and
    local community organisations.

Look out for St Patrick, pipe bands, dancers and more on their colourful journey through the city.

Free concert

After the parade, join us for a free open-air concert from 1.30pm – 4pm in Custom House Square.

Headlining this year’s concert will be Europe’s number one party act; The Vengaboys, who’ll be singing their multiplatinum hits live on stage including ‘Kiss’, ‘Boom Boom Boom Boom’ and ‘We’re Going to Ibiza’.

The exciting line-up also includes:

    traditional music from The Whistlin’ Donkeys
    Irish dancers ‘Fusion Fighters’
    County Down singing sensation Catherine McGrath, who recently supported Michael Bublé and Picture This
    Ryan Sheridan, one of Ireland’s finest guitarists, who will play some of his biggest hits including ‘Jigsaw’ and ‘The Dreamer’.

You won’t be able to stop your hands clapping and your feet tapping.

Access to the concert

Access to the concert is free (no ticket is required) and entry is on a first-come, first-served basis. Terms and conditions of entry apply.  Gates to the concert open at 1.15pm and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
