Belfast City Council Covid Aware Scheme

Ahead of the retail sector fully reopening, Belfast City Council's Covid Aware scheme helps stores highlight what they're doing to keep customers & staff  safe & gives shoppers confidence when returning to your premises.

Retailers and shops in Belfast can apply to BCC's COVID Aware Scheme to highlight your commitment to a safe shopping experience.

The free scheme - developed with representatives from the retail industry - is designed to give shoppers confidence when doors reopen later this month.

To apply, retailers must complete a self-assessment form on the BCC website - www.belfastcity.gov.uk/covidaware - outlining how you're complying with current regulations and public health advice.

You'll then get a sticker to display in your premises, and our scheme will also be supported by existing compliance and enforcement action.

If you have any other questions about reopening and keeping your staff and customers safe, contact their free business advice line can help - 028 9027 0565.

And, if you're a shopper, look out for the Covid Aware stickers in shop windows across the city when trading resumes on 30 April.
